What’s a popular breakfast food among kids? Bagels! They’re easy, tasty, and perfect for busy mornings when kids need something quick they can grab and eat on the go. My 6-year-old is currently on a full-on bagel spree and asks for one almost every morning for breakfast.
And if we’re being honest, homemade bagels are the best, chewy, soft, and absolutely delicious. Recently, my family and I stopped by Lox, Stock & Bagel after hearing so many great things, and they did not disappoint.
The moment we walked in, the smell of freshly baked bagels filled the air, it was heavenly. After checking out their wide selection, I ordered a bagel sandwich on an everything bagel, my husband chose a jalapeño bagel, one daughter picked asiago, and the other went classic with plain. Every single one was a hit.
While we were there, we could see bagels proofing in the fridge for upcoming batches and watched as they were boiled to perfection. It was such a fun behind-the-scenes peek and a reminder of the care that goes into making each bagel.
Service was quick, and everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly. We live out in West Eugene, so it was about a 25-minute drive across town—but it’s one we’ll absolutely be making again soon.
